He Kept the Crown, Lost the Skin

A skeleton sits dead center on a heavy throne, gold crown still on the skull, court robes of black and burnished gold falling around the bones. Skull-print curtains frame one side, a royal portrait hangs above, and a small money bag rests near the feet. The whole thing is drawn in bold illustration lines, slate-gray background, deadpan and weirdly composed. Gothic, but it carries itself like it owns the room.

Black and gold is the backbone here, so it lands well on a dark feature wall or above a bar. The skeleton-royalty angle reads loud in a game room or man cave, where a little macabre humor fits the mood better than anything polite would.

Pairs well with Gothic & Macabre Artwork, Black and Gold Wall Art and King and Queen Wall Art.
